Investigating effects of tourism development on the economic developments of rural settlements in the direction of social capital (Case study; central district of Jiroft County)

چکیده
Social capital is one of the fundamental pillars in developing the rural economy and as a facility and capacity for improving and developing rural tourism. Therefore, planners consider rural tourism a significant activity for the economic development of rural settlements. The present study investigates the role and effects of tourism development on the economic developments of rural settlements in the central part of Jiroft County. This research was conducted using a quantitative and survey method and a questionnaire at 400 households in 30 sample villages. Regarding the fundamental purpose and reconsideration of the research method, quantitative research is in survey research. Terms of nature included (awareness, trust،cohesion, organization, network and relations, and social participation) had a positive and significant relationship with tourism development and economic developments in rural areas. Based on the research findings, it was found that with the improvement of social capital indicators, the level of tourism development will increase. As a result, the economy of rural settlements in the study area will improve.
