According to the Human Development Index, the United Nations divides member countries into three broad groups: developed, developing, and underdeveloped. This study aims to investigate the effect of the corona crisis on the performance of medal-winning in developed and developing countries at the 2020 Olympics.

Based on the following chart, it can be stated that there is a significant difference between the performance of developed and developing countries.
Conclusion: One of the critical issues in the human development index is the physical health of society. According to the chart above, it can be concluded that championship and professional sports in developed countries have suffered less from the Corona crisis and have been able to better manage this crisis according to the available facilities. This could be one of the reasons why they performed better in the 2020 Olympics than in previous years.
